Why is my mom very picky with the women I'm interested in?

Whenever I mention to my mom that I’m interested in this girl, she always has something critical to say like: she’s a little fat, she has square body, she has funny legs, she has funny hair, she has freckles, she has red hair and red-headed women are disgusting looking, she has a funny nose, etc…. Sometimes I think my mom want me to find the perfect woman who looks beautiful on the outside. IMHO, I think it’s their personality that counts most. If they’re nice, who cares is they don’t have this curvy body, the perfect hair, etc… Why is my mom like this?
