Where did the 'Asians can't drive' stereotype come from?

I'm just taking a guess here, but I'd say that since traffic is much less orderly in many Asian countries, Asians who immigrate to western countries with strict driving rules appear to be bad drivers. They can be pretty crazy drivers in their countries, but that's more due to general chaos on the road than being part of any race.
