If God sends people to Hell to endure everlasting torture, should we really worship him?

IMHO, if such a God was so cruel to send innocent people to burn for eternity with no reason except for "sin was passed down from ancestors" and "not accepting Jesus as the one true savior" then I would rather take the eternal suffering then to give up my freedom in order to worship such a maleficent being. Thoughts?
