Do you think Obama should be more strident in denouncing Kadaffi?

No - European Union has taken over this one the USA can relax and take it easy. The EU has already posed sanction on Libya and the British Prime Minster has been to Egypt and kuwait to rally support. The American administration is very slow and the World see this as weakness. 10 years ago it would be just American diplomats buzzing around the middle east now they are just starting to respond a week after the European Union have already acted. Obama is not a World leader a campaigner yes but not a world leader.
